Along our way, we faced many hardships and had to constantly innovate – whether it was working on the ground through a service-delivery approach, practicing management principles and adopting a business-like approach in the development sector, creating a unique resource modelling keeping businesses at the centre or promoting the concept of citizen-driven change. Yes, we almost always chose the road less travelled, and as they say, that has made all the difference .

Utkarsh Jan Kalyan Seva Samiti aims to empower underprivileged children, youth and women through higher education, innovative healthcare and micro and small-scale livelihood programmes. Utkarsh Jan Kalyan Seva Samiti aims to combine the business competitiveness of the ideal corporate with social development initiatives; sensitize under privileged children, youth and common citizens to promote citizen driven change; and empower women to take confidence in themselves so that everyone can do small and big work and become a successful citizen.
UJKSS aims to build an equitable relationship of strength, sustenance, and dignity between the cities and villages, using under-utilized material as a tool to trigger development with dignity. We envision growing as an idea across regions, economies, and countries using urban surplus material as a tool to address basic but neglected issues of the financially and materially poor, involving them in designing and implementing their own solutions, with their own efforts, knowledge, and dignity, and material as a reward for their participation.
We believe that education in and of itself is both a means and an end to a better life: a means because it empowers one to earn his livelihood and an end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues from healthcare to proper social behaviour to understanding one's rights and in the process helps one evolve as a better citizen. Education is the most effective tool that helps children build a strong foundation; enabling them to free themselves from the vicious cycle of ignorance, poverty and disease.
